Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with PropGlue in 5 minutes. This guide will walk you through creating your account, adding your first building, and uploading documents.

Create Your Account

Start by creating your PropGlue account:

  1. Go to app.propglue.com/register
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Create a strong password (12+ characters)
  4. Enter your organization name (your property management company)
  5. Click Create Account
✅ You'll receive a confirmation email. Click the link to verify your account.

Add Your First Building

Once logged in, add your first property:

  1. Click Buildings in the left sidebar
  2. Click the + New Building button
  3. Fill in the building details:
    • Name: 123 Main Street (or your building's address)
    • Address: Full street address
    • City: New York
    • Borough: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, or Staten Island
    • ZIP Code: 5-digit ZIP
    • BIN: (Optional) NYC Building Identification Number
    • Block & Lot: (Optional) NYC tax lot information
  4. Click Save Building

💡 Pro Tip

If you enter a BIN (Building Identification Number), PropGlue will automatically pull permits and violations from NYC DOB. You can find your BIN on any property tax bill or at NYC DOB BIS.

Upload Your First Document

Store important building documents in PropGlue:

  1. From the building detail page, click the Documents tab
  2. Click + Upload Document
  3. Select a category (e.g., "Permits", "Insurance", "Leases")
  4. Choose a subcategory (e.g., "DOB Permits", "Certificate of Insurance")
  5. Add a title (e.g., "Building Permit - Roof Repair 2026")
  6. Add a description (optional)
  7. Click Choose File and select your document
  8. Click Upload
📁 Supported File Types: PDF, Word, Excel, JPEG, PNG, GIF

Invite Your Team

Add team members to collaborate:

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select Settings
  3. Go to the Team tab
  4. Click + Invite User
  5. Enter their email address
  6. Select a role:
    • Owner: Full access (you)
    • Admin: Full access, can't delete organization
    • Property Manager: Manage buildings and documents
    • Super: View-only for specific buildings
  7. Click Send Invite

They'll receive an email with a link to set up their account.

Enable NYC DOB Integration (Optional)

Automatically pull permits and violations:

  1. Make sure your building has a BIN entered (Step 2)
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations
  3. Enable NYC DOB Integration
  4. Click Sync Now to pull existing permits and violations
⚠️ Note: NYC DOB sync happens automatically every 24 hours. Initial sync may take a few minutes depending on the number of buildings.

What's Next?

Now that you're set up, explore these features:

📸 Add Photos

Document building conditions, damage, or progress on projects. Go to Photos in the sidebar to upload images.

👷 Manage Contractors

Track vendors, verify COIs, and rate their work. Go to Contractors to add your first vendor.

⚙️ Track Equipment

Maintain HVAC systems, elevators, and other building equipment. Go to Equipment to add assets.

📊 Start a Project

Plan capital improvements or renovations. Go to Projects to create your first project.
